Handmade Knitted Winter Pirate Skull Hat with Ear Flaps; Red and White

Image
Handmade Knitted Winter Pirate Skull Hat with Ear Flaps; Red and White   ⚞ Handmade Knitted Winter Pirate Skull Hat with Ear Flaps; Red and White ⚟ ⬤ This knitted winter ear flap hat has a pirate skull theme and has been knitted with acrylic baby yarn. The hat contains a pom pom on top and one on each end of the ear flaps. The skull pattern was knitted using fair isle technique with the red and white yarn to create the images. ⬤ The hat is red and white, handmade and will fit a child from about 1 to 3 years of age and a head circumference of about 16 inches (41 cm). I enjoyed knitting this hat! This was one of the first fair isle projects I made and it taught me a lot about working with two yarn colors at the same time with a chart while working in the round ! After making it and a few other items like it, I really enjoy fair isle projects and I am not as fearful of them as I used to be. I will be making many more fair isle items so keep checking back with me! Carl

Handmade Knit Baby Cardigan Light Blue and White; Newborn to 6 Months

Image
Handmade Knit Baby Cardigan Light Blue and White; Newborn to 6 Months Handmade Knit Baby Cardigan This is a beautiful, handmade knit cardigan sweater for a baby, newborn to 6 months of age. The colors used are light blue and off white. The yarn is baby acrylic and is very soft to the touch. This would look great on any baby, boy or girl! The sweater has four attached buttons in a very pale light blue color and buttons up on the far right side of the sweater. This design is a more modern style than just having the buttons in the middle of the sweater. I think it just looks terrific on any baby & you and mom will too! The body of the sweater contains a simple stitching and texture that I think really looks great with the off set button row! This is almost a classic looking pattern, but with the offset button row it has a new flare to it. This gift will be a hit with the mom to be! Size : Chest 21" (53 cm); Length 11" (28 cm); Sleeve 9.5" (24 cm) For for images, ple...

Hand Knit Baby Girl Sweater, Petal Pink White Lace, 3-6 Months; Short Sleeve

Image
Hand Knit Baby Girl Sweater, Petal Pink White Lace, 3-6 Months; Short Sleeve New Baby Sweater I made a new baby sweater about 2 weeks ago! I purchased a new pattern I found and it turned out absolutely great! This was made in a #3 weight DK yarn in Petal Pink and White with a lacey top portion and a standard knit bottom half with short sleeves. This is a light weight spring or fall sweater for a 3-6 month old, but I usually try to make my baby items with a little positive ease and length so the item can be used a little longer. That will always depend upon how fast the baby grows and how big the baby is when born! For more images or to purchase this beautiful sweater, just click here or the image above. What's New Well, since the passing of my buddy Roger , I've been trying to keep myself busy with my Etsy Shop and things around the house. But, it's been difficult not having him around. I have struggled with depression most of my life and have taken some medication at t...

How to Care for Handmade Yarn Items so They Will Last for Many Years!

Image
Introduction: Caring for Handmade Items Caring for handmade knit/crochet yarn items can be very easy if you follow some simple instructions, and your items will be able to last for many years to come. Before we get to washing your adorable keepsake items, you must first know exactly what type of yarn the item was made from. This is extremely important and how you will care for the item will be based upon this important fact. Now, I always include a card with my handmade items telling my customer what type of yarn was used in making the item they purchased from me. I believe most other sellers will do the same, but if you were given an handmade item and you do not know the type of yarn used in the making of the item, then always  follow the handwashing and air drying instructions, with for example,  Fine Fabric Wash 3.3 Oz: Lavender ,   as a precaution.  Never Use The Following There are things that should never be used   or done on any handmade yarn ite...

Hello! I'm Back After A Very Long Break.

Image
Here's my first blog post in about four or five years! I can't believe it's been that long. I took a break from selling on Etsy about 3 years ago and let my website and domain go. I just could not afford it any more with trying to keep up with my health; Rheumatoid arthritis and a lot of back issues. Everything was just too much especially with trying to keep up with customer orders, I just gave up. Now its been about two weeks since my best friend Roger passed away, my dog, and I have decided to re-open my Etsy shop  and take things very slowly. I am feeling much better now especially after changing my meds around for the arthritis and treatments for my spine issues and also better meds for that. I am not going to do special custom orders this time around nor pay for a website or do all the social media marketing. I'm just going to take it slow and if I can sell my items, great! If I don't, then I won't lose a ton of money trying to kill myself for nothing! ...
